Clenzoil, the leading and most trusted manufacturer of cleaning and maintenance products for the firearms and marine industries since 1948 was honored to sponsor the “Marathon Man” Jeff Kolodzinski’s quest to break the world-record of the most fish caught in 24 hours.
Every September, Mr. Kolodzinski sets out to break a record he already holds: the Certified Guinness Book of World Records for the most fish caught in 24 hours. But Kolodzinski is not doing it for a mere spot in the record books. He’s doing it to raise money for Fishing For Life’s "NextGEN Program,” which serves kids who have parents in the armed forces. The non-profit organization pairs these kids with mentors who teach life skills through fishing and outdoor experiences while mom or dad are deployed - or in the case that mom or dad won’t return from a deployment. “Kolo” is just one small part of this whole annual event. It’s the support of honorable companies like Clenzoil and invaluable individual donors who fund this life-changing program.
“ Seeing sportsmen making a huge impact and immediate difference to Veterans and their families is at the core of what we do and why we do it,” said Chris Hoffman, President of Clenzoil. “When we were offered the opportunity to sponsor this event, we didn’t think twice about it. Raising money for such an incredible organization like Fishing for Life’s NEXTGEN Program made perfect sense and aligns with our goal(s) of supporting Veterans.”
Not only did Clenzoil sponsor this event with its quality products, the company made it a point to donate funds as well as match any donation for an entire hour of the live event. Doing so, Clenzoil (along with other donors/sponsors) helped accelerate the donations and ultimately helped this event reach their goal of raising $20,000. Along the way, “Kolo” crushed his own already established world-record by about 500 fish.
